This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured example. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many of these PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed onto it. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the correct ROM data onto the board.
