This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain critical information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its stored data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
