This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs include a ROM ("memory") chip that stores drive-specific data required for normal operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot transplant the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the board with the correct ROM data.
