This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We keep a large stock of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery or as a repair part for a failing drive. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip (or its data) must be transferred to the replacement board; if you cannot perform this yourself a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
