This sale includes a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is provided. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before buying, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If possible, the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB — a local computer technician can usually perform that swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
