This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB replacement will address the problem and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique drive-specific information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied onto the replacement board. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
