This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We maintain a large stock, so the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement board is intended to be used as a donor part when fixing a malfunctioning drive. Most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM or its data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If possible, the ROM chip can be moved to the new PCB — a local computer repair professional can usually perform this transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
