This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, consult our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm a PCB replacement is likely to fix your drive, and use the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Most hard drive PCBs store unique system data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to handle it. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
