This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock a large quantity of these PCBs, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the pictured board. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
