This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many HDD circuit boards store unique parameters in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
