This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we carry a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different than the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new PCB must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If physical transplantation of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the appropriate ROM data.
