This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery, this replacement PCB can be useful when diagnosed as the faulty component. Most Seagate/WD PCBs contain a ROM "memory" chip that stores unique drive-specific data required for normal operation; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
