This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many of these circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved physically, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
