This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is supplied. We maintain a large quantity of PCBs in stock, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose data is required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
