This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique firmware data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be relocated, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
