This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. This printed circuit board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store critical, unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the move. For customers who order $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
