This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide. Check compatibility before ordering using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
