This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in data recovery and HDD repair, this PCB should be matched carefully to your drive before installation. Use our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement board will resolve your issue and consult the Donor Matching Guide to confirm compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain essential, unique data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
