This sale includes only the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible WD 3.5" SATA drives. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs hold device-specific information in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip — or its data — must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new board or programming the replacement PCB with the proper ROM data.
