This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large stock of PCBs, the specific board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. These circuit boards are intended for use in data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, and check the Donor Matching Guide to ensure compatibility. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM "memory" data that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
