Product is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we keep a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
