Product is the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive is NOT included. We stock large quantities, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photos. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data-recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique data in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for correct operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
