This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or drive repair. To confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
