Product is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery or hard drive repair situations. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs include unique data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically relocated, a qualified local computer technician can perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
