This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock many similar PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the hard drive to function correctly. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can physically move the chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
