Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board shipped may vary slightly from the photos. This PCB is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be moved onto the replacement PCB. If the ROM chip can be transferred, a local computer technician should be able to perform the work. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
