This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large inventory, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be programmed with the correct ROM data). If you’re not comfortable doing the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
