Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
