This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo due to large stock levels. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; this ROM data is required for the drive to function properly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
