Product is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for normal drive operation. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
