This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that contains essential data required for the drive to function; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
