This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We keep a large inventory of these PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in data recovery and HDD repair projects. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs include unique data stored in the ROM memory chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
