This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: repair or data-recovery replacement for compatible WD drives. Verify compatibility before purchase by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue. Important: many PCBs contain unique ROM data that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If you do not perform this yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the board with the proper ROM data.
