This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Due to the large quantity of PCBs we stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery applications. To confirm a replacement PCB will solve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs include unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer professional should be able to perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
