This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the unit you receive may look slightly different from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
