This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photograph. This board is supplied for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transplants the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
