This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We stock multiple PCB revisions, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip. That ROM information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. Service options: for purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
