This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most replacement PCBs contain a ROM (memory) chip that holds drive-specific data required for proper operation; that ROM data must be transferred to the new board or the new board must be reprogrammed. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either mounts the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or programs the correct ROM data into the new board.
