This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Confirm compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
