This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the physical hard drive is NOT included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the actual board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before buying, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM (the "memory" chip); that ROM data is required for correct operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer; alternatively, for orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
