This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only. No hard drive assembly, platters, or other components are included. Because we carry a large quantity of replacement PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery, this PCB is intended as a replacement part — confirm compatibility before purchase. Many hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM ("memory") chip whose contents are required for the drive to operate correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
