This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We have a large inventory of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCB units contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
