This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of a compatible Western Digital 3.5" SATA drive. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function properly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
