This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Due to large inventory, the exact PCB shipped may differ slightly from the one shown in the photo. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Many WD PCBs contain unique service information in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip, or its stored data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the work. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
