Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique drive-specific data on the ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
