This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock large quantities, so the PCB you receive may look slightly different than the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique factory data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
