Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
