This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board only for model WD2500AAJS-60M0A1 (2061-701590-X02 AD). No hard drive is included. We carry a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, verify that a replacement PCB will fix your drive by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store vital, unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM information.
