This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive or enclosure is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair tasks, this PCB is intended as a replacement part. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to work correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
