This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of these PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. To determine whether replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique calibration/configuration stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
